I don’t know what it is about Christmas time that make me want to turn every alcoholic beverage into a dessert. Judging by what I have seen on Facebook and Pinterest I am not alone in this. Sugar and Christmas just go so well together and I think it is also our primal instruct to “bulk up” for the winter to stay nice and cozy and warm. In my opinion it is hard to find a better alcoholic beverage that says Christmas better than Bailey’s Irish Cream. For this reason I concocted this scrumptious Christmas cocktail called the Irish Noggin with my husband a few years ago. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! WARNING: NOT IN THE LEAST BIT HEALTHY BUT OH SO WORTH IT!!!!
Bailey’s Irish Cream
- Squeeze some chocolate sauce into a glass and make a swirly pattern around the bottom. Place the glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
- In a different glass mix together the eggnog and Bailey’s. Use as much of each as desired.
- After 10 minutes remove the chocolate filled glass from the freezer and gently pour the Bailey’s eggnog into it.
- Top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.
There you have it! Super easy and incredibly yummy. Best sipped next to a fire place while watching a Christmas movie.
