A few years ago I came across this AMAZING stuffing recipe! It is healthy, easy to make and super yummy. I make this stuffing every Thanksgiving and will be making it again on Christmas day. So many people think that it is hard or super labor intensive to make stuffing (or dressing as some people call it) but it really isn’t. I understand that a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner can be a lot of work and certain things like stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce end up being store bought. The issue with this is that they almost never taste as good as a recipe made from scratch with fresh ingredients and if they are store bought they are inevitably stuffed full of sugar or salt.
This healthy cornbread and sausage stuffing recipe I found on the EatingWell.com website and I highly recommend it! I personally omit the sage from the recipe mainly because it is just not a herb that I like that much but everything else is fantastic. I also tend to broil the stuffing right at the end for just a minute or two to get the top browned and a little crispy.
I hope you enjoy making this recipe with your family this holiday!
